JANUARY CALENDAR COLAB!

Happy New Year to all of you! I'm finally back after a very well deserved break. This year one of my resolutions is to stay much more organized and try to eat better. I've already got my new agenda, but I felt I still wanted to have a calendar on my desktop computer, so here it is!

I'm such a big fan of beautiful illustrations and designs, so the moment I saw Malena's work I feel in love. We followed each other and we then decided to create a January calendar and share it with you all!

The idea behind this image was to create something that inspires "new beginnings". As the new year begins, it is always a reminder to start fresh and to do those things you were afraid of doing this past 2018.

Malena and I have a similar taste in colour, her colour palettes in her illustrations are always very soothing, bright and beautiful. If you haven't checked her Instagram account yet, its a must! All of her illustrations always keep me daydreaming of a warm summer day in Brazil.

We started creating a mood board with the scenes that inspired us and some outfits and patterns. Even though we are really far away (she is in Brazil and I'm in London) we were both able to read our minds as we completely got this on the first try!

We added cherry blossom trees on the road as a way to inspire you to always choose to see the best in the new journeys. The girl represents all of us women who have to sometimes travel alone chasing our dreams. Even though she is traveling alone  she isn't afraid of this, she sees this as a challenge to get to know herself better and she knows once she gets to the end, she will be so comfortable in her own body and proud of her courage.

We wish this will inspire to go chase your dreams, no matter how silly they may seem, as in the end, you will be so proud of your self.

I wish you all the best for this 2019! May joy and light come easily to your life.
